Aware NI

AWARE has an established network of 23 support groups in rural and urban areas across the country, which are run by trained volunteers. Support groups welcome people with depression and bipolar disorder as well as carers for people with the illness.

AWARE delivers mental health and well-being programmes into communities, and schools. These programmes include a suite of Mood Matters programmes, Living Life to the FullMental Health First Aid and Mindfulness.

It is linked in with the National Crime Agency and is dedicated to making the web a safer place for young people. It has a great deal of information on what to be aware of online and how to combat these threats.  It has a very well-known Thinkuknow campaign which is a dedicated education programme rolled out to schools including Lagan College.
