Travelling to Lagan College

Our students journey on foot, by car, bus and bicycle from a wide catchment area, including: Bangor, Downpatrick, Ballynahinch, Carryduff, Newtownards, North, South, East and West Belfast, Lisburn, Moira, Dunmurry, Glengormley, Antrim, Holywood, Newcastle, Comber, Saintfield and Dundonald.

When travelling to and from school, our students are expected to behave safely and responsibly on school buses and public transport. Students should board and alight from buses safely at designated stops and areas. Students should remain seated during travel and, where fitted, seat belts must be worn during travel.

Lagan College students are expected to act as ambassadors within the community at all times and adhere to school expectations when travelling to and from school. It is essential that our students appreciate everyone’s right to travel and board the bus safely which in itself enables the driver to focus on road safety.

Students who live beyond a three mile radius may apply to the Education Authority to be considered for a bus pass. Click here for more information and check eligibility.
