At Lagan College we pride ourselves in the range of extra-curricular activities that we offer our pupils. These activities range from Sporting and Fitness activities to Art, Music and Drama, all of which serve to develop our students, as well-rounded young adults. To meet with this demand, there is a flourishing programme of activities every day after school. Other clubs and societies meet at lunch time, at weekends or regularly, as required.
Afterschool extra curricular activities usually run from 3.30pm – 4.45pm. Parents/carers may pick up their child from the front bus bay area or students can access the local Four Winds 7a/7b/7c Metro bus stop into the city centre. Clubs may be subject to change depending on staffing, facilities and budget.
The College also has a dramatic production annually in which a large number of students take part. It is worth noting that these activities are subject to change, as staff commitments vary throughout the year. Any student interested in taking part should talk to the teacher in charge of the activity.
A wide variety of trips for educational, cultural and sporting reasons are also organised each year locally and nationally. Visits have been undertaken to London, South Africa, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
