Gael Linn Quiz Success for Year 9 Team
On Thursday a group of our Year 9 and Year 10 Irish students competed in the Gael Linn Quiz in The Devenish. This is an annual event organised for young people who are studying Irish. It is a general knowledge quiz with rounds on various topics including history, sport, geography and music and the questions are in Irish.
They were competing against many other schools including Coláiste Feirste, St Louis, St Malachy’s, St Dominic’s, St Mary’s CBS, Edmund Rice College and Blessed Trinity College with over 350 students. This was the first quiz in 4 years and one of our Year 9 teams won first place and will now proceed to the final in January! Well done, Éimhín, Méabh, Hannah and Isabel.
