Chaplaincy and Wellbeing Centre Official Opening

We were delighted that the Children's Commissioner, Mrs Koulla Yiasouma, could join us to open our new Chaplaincy and Wellbeing space on Tuesday 10th January 2023 with our Students' Council.

Other guests included Mrs Alison McConnell from Bilfinger Berger, Ms Gill Warwick from Pinsent Masons, Chairperson Mr Frances Martin, Board of Governors Ms Sheina Rigg and Mr Vincent Cafolla, Sister Anne Kilroy, Mr William Murphy and Miss Leanne Kerr from Grahams Facilities Management, representatives from Parents’ Council, Mr Sean Spillane and Mrs Emma Black with Loughview Integrated Primary’s Student Council.

Our Chaplaincy Centre will provide greater space and opportunity to support staff and students’ spiritual and mental well-being. The centre now has a dedicated group room, listening space, quiet reflection and prayer space, chaplaincy office, kitchen and communal area. The Chaplaincy symbolises our commitment to placing the care and well-being of each person in our integrated school, at the core of our practice.  We look forward to it continuing to be a happy, warm and welcoming space for every child.
