Level 2 OCN Employability Skills

This have been designed to provide learners with a range of employability skills that are key to preparing them for the workplace. The objectives of the employability modules are to assist learners in acquiring the skills, attributes and behaviours that are needed to enter and succeed in the world of work.

The Employability Skills course comprises six modules. Students will need 15 credits to gain the qualification. Students will be assessed by producing evidence of their achievements in a portfolio.

 

The module titles in this qualification are:

Undertaking an Enterprise Project, Applying for Work, Workplace Induction, Interview Skills, Customer Care and Teamwork.

Studying this course will:

  • Recognise learner’s personal achievements
  • Help to manage own learning
  • Develop employability skills and personal effectiveness
  • Broaden experience of the world of work, produce a CV and complete job applications
  • Help to build a record of achievement

Career Pathways

  • Transferable skills for a range of potential careers and Further Education
  • Students could progress on to the Level 3 course at an FE college at Post 16.
