East Belfast Student Council Meet
The East Belfast Area Learning Community (EBALC) held a meeting on Tuesday 15th November between representatives of 11 Student Councils within the East Belfast area. Members of our Student Council were able to see how other schools run their council and how topics are discussed.
Through negotiation, three strands of a collaborative project were pitched to go forward to the Principal’s EBALC meeting. Delegates hope this will lead to practical action on:
- Sustainability
- Pupil wellbeing
- Charitable giving
Many thanks to Strathearn, brilliantly coordinated by Dr Haire, for hosting the meet and for Lucy, Simon and Mirran for being such engaging, active, and positive representatives of our Student Council.
